On being fond of lines
and oh so regretful
of the injustices i've
caused them over the years
with my scratching and
inadequate descriptors
I want so desperately
to find the right recompense
but one as hopelessly
inept as myself
really needn't bother with it
My careless ways
gone too long uncorrected
cannot hope for rescue
or reformation
only grace
