I was just so tired when I got home tonight. I actually fell asleep at around 6:30pm -- in my street clothes, on my air mattress. I've got two more days left here in my "oh so cute, but completely bare" apartment. I'm starting to do that thing where I panic about what still has to be done, so I freeze up and don't do anything. If only Nell were around to give me one of her "just commit suicide" pep talks...
Anyway, I'm awake now that it's midnight, and I could be doing some of my last minute packing/cleaning. Really though, who wants to clean at midnight?? It's not an option, so I thought I would watch When Harry met Sally on my laptop after posting something other than a completely random poem (a la my dreadful "line apology" -- seriously, it was a lot cooler when I penned it out in one continuous line).
Friends, I 'm going to miss my highspeed connectivity and living within minutes of civilization, no doubt about it. I'll try to post as often as I have been though (I know it's not terribly often to begin with). Alas, with great loss, comes great gain.
Some of the positives of my move:
- amazing quality time with two of my real life heroes
- learning to really kick Penny's butt at Othello
- actually seeing the stars at night
- being able to get involved again with a church I love
- being within minutes of seven dozen family members
- not having to pay rent this summer
- minimal to zero diaper changes
- being around for my little sister's hs graduation
- maybe I'll take up an instrument....(most of you know how funny this is)
- i won't have to worry about trying not to lose my NASA badge
- meeting baby Brandon
- sweet tea, that I don't have to make
Getting sleepy again,
Holly
