I was reading just a bit of Sadhu Sundar Singh's writings in this incredible devotional collection I have, when I hit this stunning treasure. First, he quotes Goethe saying "The highest cannot be spoken." Okay, that, in and of itself, is a pretty resounding quote. I loved it. Singh went on though, and started writing about how even though we might not be able to verbalize the incredible depths of our faith, that we can demonstrate it with our actions, then gives an incredible illustration of what he's talking about (this dude is a beautiful follower of Christ that I would do well to emulate). The excerpt ends with him penning, "Where the tongue is lacking, life, though action, reveals the reality." Am I living a life of action that is beautiful to Christ? Am I even experiencing my faith at the depths that know no words?? I know the answer to those questions, and am embarrassed to admit it. My prayer today is that I dig deeper and am daily a partaker of such a faith -- that we all are.
Ciao,
Holly
