The update extravaganza:
Lets start with the very recent - I officially own a brand new (I think, out of tune -- really) harmonica and handy little "learn to play" book. Yes, you have my permission to engage in unrestrained laughter. We all know the long term future of this tiny silver instrument.
Lets see, what else has happened in the last almost two whole months...
Grandmother passed away a month and two days ago after a tiring struggle with congestive heart failure and dementia. We are slowly coming to the full realization of the loss as we've started sorting through some of her stuff. It's something that's way to depressing to do alone, but it's actually been really cathartic. Penny, Mom, Aunt Geraldine and I have begun the task -- it'll take a little while yet, but we'll get it done (this woman had a LOT of stuff).
Kindergarten is TOTALLY kicking my rear end. Seriously, who knew how hard it was to teach these kids absolutely everything under the sun?? If I survive this year, I think I'll retire. I'll definitely be looking for a, how do you say, less rural area. I love being here, but, well, I really miss metropolized life.
Sunday School is going well. My class started up last week with five people, and this Sunday three of them came back! I'm really praying for the class to grow. Next week I'll start teaching a monthly World Ventures class for the 5th grade GA's. This'll be fun. =)
Oh yeah, I just dropped my children's literature class today. I just couldn't find the time to read 65 children's books this semester -- the library, the hard words, the late fees... It was a heartbreaking decision indeed.
Look for a dramatically beautiful entry any day now (HA!),
Holly
